Why having a long penis isn't all that great:

Because I don't have personal experience with this, I'm going to have to hypothesize here, so please don't take this and the next paragraph as hard scientific evidence. Let us imagine that you have a large penis. It is 8 inches long when soft and 10 inches long when hard. Now think about how comfortable you would be wearing underwear such as briefs. Can you see yourself being comfortable in a confining swimming suit, such as a speedo? And put yourself in the following situation: you are giving a presentation in front of the class; you are nervous; one natural response to being nervous is for your penis to get hard; regardless of your penis size you would be worried that people will notice the bulge in your pants. Now ask yourself: are they more likely to notice if your penis is 5 inches long when hard or 10 inches long?

Now look at it from the side of oral sex -- that's when your partner, whether a guy or a girl, puts your penis in his/her mouth. I really haven't measured the distance between the lips and the back of the throat, but I can safely say that a 10 inch penis would not go all the way in, while a smaller one could be totally put in and stimulated. And last time I checked, most people had a fully-functional gag reflex, so don't expect the penis to go into the throat.

Why women do not prefer a longer penis:
I guess I have to say right off the bat that some girls prefer longer penises, but it's psychological for the most part (all in the head). There is no physical reason why a 10 inch penis would satisfy more than a 5 inch one. In fact, only the first 2 inches of the vagina are sensitive to stimulation. Deeper regions have few nerve endings, so women can't really feel anything there. That means that unless your penis is less than 2 inches long when hard, you should not have a problem satisfying a woman. This information comes from the two sources I have listed at the bottom of the page. One is written by a medical doctor and the other by a person with an academic doctorate, so I take the information to be medically and scientifically correct.

I've had no personal experience with this either, so what I'm going to say next is what I've been told by various men on the net. Several guys, in fact ones claiming to have longer-then-average penises, told me that their girlfriends said they could not tell a difference between a long and a short penis once it was fully inserted into the vagina. A good friend of mine, however, told me of a former girlfriend of his that claimed a longer penis made sex much more enjoyable for her. So it would appear that some women don't feel a difference and some do.

Now back to science. I haven't gone around and asked women, but scientists have done studies on the subject. According to the information they gathered, there are several factors that women look for in a sexual partner, and penis size was NOT among the answers they gave.

Why men do not prefer a longer penis:

Here I also have to admit that some guys like longer penises. I've never laid my hands on a 10 inch penis, but I think it would be fun to play with one. Just play, though -- not much more than that. I would be seriously afraid of allowing someone with that long a penis to have anal intercourse (ass fucking) with me. The length of the anus -- the part of your intestines that is directly behind the opening -- is only 5 inches. Inserting something significantly longer than that into the anus could not only be painful, but could actually do serious internal damage. Try explaining that to your doctor!

So now you now what the average length of a penis is, and you have reasons why you would not want to have a longer one. If you still want to have a longer penis and are thinking about various ways that it could be enlarged, STOP . There is absolutely no way to enlarge the penis. Those pumps you may have heard so much about are dangerous, and do not permanently enlarge the penis (they're dangerous because the powerful sucking can damage the tissue in your penis that allows it to get hard). There is no pill, cream or injection that you can receive to make your penis grow. And a penis is not like a muscle, so if you use it more it will not get bigger (but please don't let that stop you from enjoying as much as sex as you want). There are no implants that will make it bigger either. Some places guys do get silicone injected into the penis. But not only is it dangerous, it can also lead to embarrassing results, because silicone has a tendency to move around and clump up.

So you can forget about enlarging your penis right here and now. You have to learn to live with the body you've got. Improve what you can about yourself -- your brain and your muscles. Don't waste your time worrying about something that can not be changed. And if someone laughs at you and says your penis is too small, it's their loss, because they will never find out how good of a sexual partner you can be!

Puberty Information for Guys

I'm going to include all kinds of stuff here about guys, stuff you might already know and stuff you might not know yet.
