For those that may be somewhat confused about the correct name of our little country ... "Netherlands (NL) is the Country" in the province of "Noord-Holland" shortened to "Holland" and "Amsterdam" is the capitol city of the country. The Government is run from Den Hague (The Hague) and the Crown Palace is in Amsterdam. Classic Dutch compromise I suppose. More facts about Amsterdam

Leidseplein is the heart of the Entertainment Area and the Favorite Party Area of Amsterdam.

Surrounding the Leidseplein Vondelpark, The Jordan, Museum Quarter, Art & Antiques districts, Amsterdam's famous Concert Venues, and Holland Casino.   

The "Dam" is the center of the Tourist area Red light District and Old Centrum.
